There is some confusion and on how to become a citizen of Yew. Most think they are citizens, when in fact they are not registered with the city. Here is a guide on how to become a citizen of Yew and how to benefit from it.
First, you must take a look at yourself closely, and think if this is what you want.
Next, you must fill out the proper forms.
Once the paperwork is complete, you are now a full fledged citizen of Yew, congratulations.
Being a responsible citizen, it is your duty to contribute to the growth of the city. Only those citizens that are respected may utilize the trade deals within the city. You will need to travel to the Shipwrights office, outside is Humphrey, Yew's minister of trade. In front of him is a box where you can drop resources off. You will need to continue to drop items in support of Yew until you reach the Respected rank. This is approximately 4000 iron ingots, or boards. He will take a wide variety of items, so read his list and contribute what best suits your abilities.
Once you are a respected citizen you can now utilize trade deals set by the city. To do this you will need to visit the city stone, outside the Abby, on a daily basis. Each week, I will choose a fitting trade deal which I feel will most benefit the citizens of Yew. But, you must visit daily to fully benefit from the trade deal.

Trade deals are not cheap, they cost the city 2,000,000 gold per week to maintain. This is done through your efforts as a responsible citizen. Go back to Humphrey, at the Shipwrights office and speak with him about a trade order. He will assign you an order to pick up and deliver to another city.
One you have the items prepared, you will drop them into the crate Humphrey's gave to you then take them to the Minister of trade in designated city. The only way you will be able to travel is upon foot or boat. You will not be allowed to use the moongates, teleporters, or any other whychery. Upon completing the tasks, you will be rewarded with a small token of appreciation, your loyalty to Yew will grow, and most importantly, a lot of gold will be deposited to the city treasury in your name. Please read this for more information. Understand, there are highwaymen out there that will attack you to steal your goods, please be safe.
