Week One: No one thought I could do it, but here I am. What to do with it now. I took the opportunity to walk through Yew and all of its shops for the first two days. I met with the shop keepers and discussed with them their issues and goals. The common theme among all shop keepers is the lack of quality workers. Most newly arrived citizens quickly run to Stonekeep and enlist, only to find them dead or worse within a week. They are pressed to the limits and broke because of the strain from the War with Vesper. They were asked to press resources for victory and they have not been paid for their services. The Guardsmen, are the main source of income, but when they do come, it is only to collect taxes, and they never purchase anything. Most of the shop owners are pressing to leave, unless change is made and they can start to support their families. I walked to the town center where the Elvish Portal stands, and within three minutes time, five adventures came through the gate. I quickly realized, its not the lack of the Guardsmen not buying from Yew, its the Elves stealing our customers. This must end, otherwise they will continue to steal money rightfully belonging to Yew. I also met with a fellow, who was looking how to learn to cook, after a quick lesson, not that I know how, but I have seen Anny do it a few times at the tavern, I realized, he too was working for the elves. I let him know of the militia and gave him a recruitment book. The city treasury is in a fair state, though more can be added, as another war may wipe it out. Tasks for next week:1. Establish trade agreements with Cove to improve relations 2. Eliminate small business tax to bring in new opprotunites 3. Increase road tax to balance the loss to small business taxes 4. Start the foundation for building a wall around the Elvish Portal to limit passage -KV Governor of Yew

Week 2What an eventful week it has been. The security of Yew has risen, due to the efforts of the Militia in recruitment. I received word King Blackthorn was holding an audience for all sitting governors. I invited Gotrek, a loyal ally and friend, to come and assist in persuading the King to rethink Phil as governor as he has all but abandoned the position, and officially name me the Governor of Yew. The King listened to our plea and after looking through the records understood the neglect Phil has placed on Yew. He then opened a portal to Yew and he stripped Phil's name from the record and swore me in as the Governor. An honor I will continue to work to support. After the King swore me in as Governor, we headed back to his castle, where he listed to some of the other citizens and their complaints. Among them, was an orc, who stated the people of Cove were giving him and his kind some grief. The King lashed out at the citizens of Cove, calling them low life scum, or some other close terminology, and told the orc he would see to it that there is a royal resolution to the problem. I immediately told the King that, Yew will stand with Cove and we will assist them in defeating the orcs at all costs. He said he would find a peaceful way to quell the problem and would have an answer in a weeks time. We returned to Yew, and I spoke with Gotrek briefly about settling on a trade deal for the week and decided to push one out for the week. The tradesmen , this week, will teach our citizens how to quickly swing their weapons. I will listen to requests for next week and will work with the counsel to ensure all of Yew is heard. The price to set trade deals costs the city nearly 2,000,000 gold per week. The treasury will support about 30 weeks of this until we are broke. We will need to ensure the movement of goods, in and out of Yew continues and taxes are collected regularly to keep the city's treasury full. As I reckoned, the lassies that I have made wedding proposals to and have turned me down in the past, have heard of my luck of being elected your governor. I have received notice that the latest request of mine, Cherry, has through twice about my proposal, and now seeks to try and court me. I'm not some prize to be won. But, a free meal was nice.
Tasks for next week:
1. Hire a personal body guard to keep me protected from the crazed lasses 2. Meet with Covian officials to offer our support as the King tries to assist the orcs 3. Continue with pressing city officials to approve the Wall

Week ThreeYew citizenship is booming. I spent the week signing dozens of applications for citizenship. We will continue the push to raise our numbers in Yew. With the push for new folks to come into our city, I have become overwhelmed with the paperwork of filing applications and attending to my normal duties. I therefore have decided to hire on a personal assistant. Former guardsmen, Nadia Smith, has taken on the role as my personal assistant. Her role, while still being defined, is to ensure that my daily schedule is cleared so that I can take on the more important tasks. Her assistance will be greatly appreciated. In two weeks time, Yew will host a tournament of champions in jousting. All able citizens are eligible to participate. I have also lowered the fees for running a vendor stall for all Yewish citizens. Please see Nadia for an application. If you plan to participate in the jousting tournament, please ensure you have your healer clearance records with you when you sign up. Our Herald outside the Abby is updated with news going on around Yew. Please stop and talk with him regularly. Tasks for Next Week
1. Begin construction of the new Governors Office 2. Lay foundations for Yews Wall 3. Inspect all permits for the tournament 4. Begin construction for vendor stalls. -KV Governor of Yew *** Current Trade Deal 5% Hit Chance Increase ***

Week FourThe week has been highly eventful. I had a few dozen citizens come to my office early in the week demanding action on the death of the Rookie Guardsmen. Initial reports ruled the death as a homicide. The people demanded action to ensure their own safety, as they were fearful of a murderer in Yew. I initiated my own investigation by hiring an outside source to review the findings. The investigation found that it was not a homicide, rather, it was the clumsiness of his own accord which killed him. The Rookie did in fact trip on a rock and impale himself with one of his own arrows, his death has been officially filed as an accidental suicide. Fear not, Yewians, there is not some murderer running in Yew trying to pick off random people. The town continues to prep for the upcoming Tournament of Champions. Building will continue through the next week, so please be patient with any expected and unexpected delays in good shipments as all resources and assets are being diverted to the preparation of the event. We still have stalls available for vendors, and slots available for participants. Tasks for next week:
1. Meet with the New Magincia provincial Governor to establish a trade deal 2. Continue preparations for the Tournament of Champions 3. Plan a weekend getaway -KV Governor of Yew *** Current Trade Deal 5% Hit Chance Increase ***

Week FiveThe week has been filled with adventure. It seems the undead are restless, as always, this time of year. After the tournament was completed, Nadia and I were cleaning the keep, and a skeleton entered the keep, this one took all we had to take it down. Citizens be wary when traveling the roads. I have to have words with the militia captain to up patrols for the next few weeks, to ensure the safety of Yew.
The highly anticipated Yew Tournament of Champions Jousting tournament took place in our very own Stonekeep. Participants from Cove, Vesper, and Yew all challenged one another in a friendly competition of Jousting. Yew's finest footman, Footman Art Ibmab challenged the others in a great attempt to represent Yew. Cove, the ever loving cheating bastards, handed him a weapon far heavier than the others, and he was unable to hold it himself. Not to let Yew go unrepresented, Captain Phil Lynx took hold of the weapon and went in Footman Ibmab's stead.
He put on a remarkable showing, by holding a draw for the first four passes. On the fifth pass, Captain Lynx was thrown from his horse. He quickly came to his feet and was helped back to his horse. He was handed his lance and before he could turn his horse around the cheating Covian was already at full speed down the lane and knocked Phil a second time.
The tournament continued, without a Yewian, and ultimately was won by a Covian, name redacted due to the cheating ways of Cove. The tournament was successful in bringing in extra gold to Yews coffers, no reported crimes, and the vendors were able to sell a great deal of their wares.
Tasks for Next Week 1. Secure Yew's Graveyard 2. Establish Costume Party Committee 3. Collect monthly taxes
