Orc Pirates
Possibly the city of Nujelm.....
Those damned pirates been robbing too many trade ships to be simple piracy.... someone is sending em out specifically targeting merchant vessels. The flagship had nay long finished its new outfitting of cannons so was time to put em to use.
The line up included the more experienced of our forces, so I knew leading this was going to be a piece of pie. However there was word a Footman was dozing off in the tavern....
As expected, everyone was already prepped for this adventure and as such it didnt take long till we were up at the flagship. I ran through a very brief training on how to properly use the heavy cannons aboard which, for once, did not end with a hole in the abbey.. grand!
Sailing north of Yew, we tracked the first vessel east of Jhelom, eventually catching them as they were trying to dump contraband overboard to lighten their vessel. PAH! Was no match for the flagship as we slammed into their side, cannon shots raining out on them!
One we disabled em, our forces swung over like they had done it a thousand times, I swear nay greater sight than the militia boarding enemy vessels... The fighting on deck was fierce and bloody, all fell to our blows till only the Captain remained. He were a bit more hardy, but with the forces we brought, twas nay long till we clamped him in irons and could get a better look at what they been robbing.
Content to take back the stock, we turned out attentions to the second ship that had been spotted nay too far from the first in fact. Pulling alongside I let the flagship take more shots to its hull this time, and watched as our crew rapidly and systematically took out the enemies sails, then scuttled the hull. Twas almost perfection. The fighting on this deck were more bloody than the last, mainly owing to the fact that we had no need of another pirate alive!
This ship were in a better state than the last, so something had to be done to ensure nobody came by to reclaim it.
Watching it implode on itself were a masterpiece, those Beseigers do know a thing or two about bombs it seems.
We had to take the captured pirate to the sea market for proper processing, but on the way Lady Larynda attempted to get some information from him about who he was sent by. He were less than co-operative...
Learning nothing, we pulled in to the sea market docks and were rewarded with the bounty for both the alive one, and the dead one. Twere at this time that pigeons starting flitting about dropping me messages... From the Baron of Cove no less. Seems they were in some.... bother and it would be worth a look. However that is nay what this report is about, and mayhaps will be for another time. Although we DID go take a look...
The haul in the end were mostly trade goods for crafties which will now help the militia stores.
