Not done any treasure hunts for a while, so thought it was time to get through the maps we got squirrelled away in the Corsair Cabin.
A gear check had been called to allow everyone time to sort their bags out, I don't have the best record with horses so needed space in bags for the booty!
Despite intial conversations regarding traitors and prisoner transfers I soon had the line. It looked good, even had a brand new trainee who seemed keen.
I laid out the plan as best I could, ensuring they all knew what to expect, death, blood and more death was most likely. Once all were prepped I called
a march to the gate and through to the yeller lands.
Breathing in the unusual air, a slight taint on the wind, we arrived. I decided it was probably best to leave the horses at the gate and so we moved as a unit,
expertly around all before us and were soon upon the first location.
Readying the pickaxe I got to work, soon bringing up not only our prize, but the horde of beasts that were guarding it. We were nearly overwhelmed however
expert tactics in hit and run, and a local healing man helped turn the tide in the militia's favour. All that was left was the random beast that might
appear as we took out spoils. I got Footman Sukotsu to open this chest, seeing as he was kind of home, and by gosh the trap were a dud how
dissapointing *smiles*. Taking our fill, we moved as a unit back toward the waiting horses and gate. Eager to be out of this peculiar and
yeller land we moved on to Ilshenar.
Landing through the gate near Valor, I were more wary of these maps, golden monsters can cause issues if left to wander, however the first map was nay far
or that difficult to reach, although a greater dragon did block our path at a point, however superior healing won the day. What was interesting though was the
varied monsters all round the area, must be one of them champions we hear about. Eventually reaching the map we got to work, slaying the guards,
even the trainee got some good blows in.
Breaking the lock was childs play, and I saw something amazing happen, Trainee Art took a full chest explosion to the face and had the mind to dodge like a cat,
obviously one to watch that one! Since this map was nay as hard to investigate than the previous, we soon gathered all we could and hit the next one,
reaching it in good time. Again nay issues with this one, although I did attempt to dodge like the trainee and failed. Ah well. Our packs and horses had
grown full with loot at this point but people were happy enough to try the last one I had in malas, so off we went.
Interesting place this, black stone and skulls are the choice for decor....
Odd.
Anyway, we soon found this chest off near a void land, which gave us a small headache to start and trainee Art took a knockout blow
leaving him down to his pants.
Wanting to spare his blushes, ill be sure to include the drawing below, *laughs*
After the excitement of "naked trainee" time were getting on so thought it were best to be heading back and get all of this melted for the crafters.
Yew never smelled better once we stepped through, theres something about the trees. All in all it were a good first run out for Art, and shook some cobwebs off.
Splitting the treasure, the guards went on their way, and I retired for the evening.
