Having spent the past few months on land due to my last ship being lost it being stolen due to unforeseen circumstances that led to the decommissioning of my ship, I have built a large number of messages from passengers of sunken ships while fishing from the beach. I have been recently commissioned a new ship, whose name shall remain unknown only to me and the harbor master I hired to paint it on, until such a time it is suitable to ceremoniously unveil.
Having, however, a large number of these messages so close to the Yewish Harbor, I felt it necessary to investigate, to ensure there was not a pirate presence so close to Yew. I did not want to venture far off, as my cannons have been installed and I have secured a large number of cannon balls and black powder, however, I have not been successful in ordering fuzes and wicks. I currently have a deal set for two days, and if the supplier comes through, the ship will be ready for more suitable patrols.
I plotted a course that took me out past the prison and back around, hitting fifteen sunken ship locations. The sails are large and makes for a fast ship. The bulkiness is something that I will continue to work on, as I am not accustom to slow turns. The patrol of the harbor took about an hour and in that time I was able to investigate all fifteen sunken ships. I did not find anything out of the ordinary, my assessment was none of the ships were sunk by pirates, as I did not find any evidence of a fight on any of them, and with the amount of loot that I did find on each, there is no way a pirate ship would have sunk a ship and not looted it before leaving. I realized, only after my investigation, that a small crew was necessary to sort through the loot that I was able to salvage, as that took me near four hours to sort through and organize.
